Copenhagen Photo Festival takes the Urban Space
Copenhagen Photo Festival 2011 takes the city from 9 to 19 June.
With photo exhibitions in the Metro, in the city’s major streets, at the City Hall Square, in Carlsberg as well as galleries and museums, the festival truly takes over the urban space.
Popular, with a High Artistic Level
“We wish to create a festival at a high artistic level and with international aim, while still maintaining the popular appeal,” says Rasmus Ranum, Managing Director and – together with Julie Klitbo – founder of the large-scale photo festival.
“Therefore the festival will be visible in the urban space so people outside the narrow art world will open their eyes to the potential of photography,” he elaborates
Rasmus Ranum emphasizes: “But we will not compromise on quality.”
