Strangas sets a New Standard for Cakes in Copenhagen
Pastry chef Nikolaos Strangas aims to raise the level for cakes and desserts in Copenhagen with his newly opened Nikolaos Strangas Conditori & Cakeaway.
His mouth-watering macaroons have become an instant hit.
Macaroons with Personality
“I Heart Macarons”, it says on the blackboard at Nikolaos Strangas’ Conditori & Cakeaway, the newly opened lovechild of pastry chef Nikolaos Strangas and his wife Lotte.
The couple has set out to raise the level of cakes and desserts in Copenhagen. One of their instant hits is their macaroons with high quality ganache (filling) which, among other delicacies, is made from Valrhona chocolate.
At Strangas Cakeaway they experiment with unexpected and mouth-watering flavours like liquorice and sea-buckthorn. And each macaroon has its own personality, like Miss Sophia, made with liquorice and raspberry, the favourite flavours of the couple’s daughter Sophia.
Exquisite Cakes and Organic Drinks
Nikolaos Strangas is the pastry chef at the Michelin-starred, Italian restaurant Era Ora but has branched out with a cakeaway as he finds the Copenhagen culinary scene lacks some serious gourmet cakes and desserts.
At Strangas Cakeaway you will find scrumptious cakes and desserts as well as organic, fair-trade espresso from Estate Coffee, your preferred Kusmi teas and a wide selection of organic soft drinks.
