If there is one thing that characterizes the AveTeam it is definitely their fighting spirit! Last Friday we participated in the DHL Relay Race at Fælledparken, one of the most popular parks in Copenhagen. The DHL Relay Race is the world’s biggest “fun run” with more than 125,000 participants. You participate in teams of 5 people, and everybody has to run 5 kilometres.
It is amazing to see Copenhageners gathering on a Friday evening for an active sport event. Well … the beers and the party ambience in 35 XL sized tents which follow this event, make up some of the attraction as well!
Proudly we can announce that the AveTeam came in as no. 117 of more than 3,000 teams in the time 1:49:42. The fastest runner, our cocktail tender Kenneth Christensen, ran 5 kilometres in only 19:19 minutes.
We may also note, just for the sake of good order, that there were no hotels among the 116 teams faster than the AveTeam.
The Avenue feeling is with us where ever we go

We just refurbished our bedrooms with new, luxurious bedspreads from the Italian fashion house Missoni. In the process we fell in love with some gorgeous wool plaids from this master of bold and beautiful colours.
We snapped them up and can offer them at the price of DKK 1,750 in the Avenue Shop. The plaids measure 130 by 190 cm.

Although there are no formal education or training requirements to become a medical, dental, or ophthalmic laboratory technician, having a high school diploma is typically the standard requirement for obtaining a job. High school students interested in becoming medical, dental, or ophthalmic laboratory technicians should take courses in mathematics and science. Courses in metal and wood shop, art, drafting, and computers are recommended. Courses in management and business may help those wishing to operate their own laboratories. Most medical, dental, and ophthalmic laboratory technicians are hired with a high school diploma and learn their tasks through on-the-job training. The remaining 1 percent is found in the blood. Gioacchino Failla, one of the greatest pioneers in the fields of biophysics and radiobiology, began his career at New York's Memorial Hospital in 1915. Within a few years of joining the staff, he had established the first research program devoted to improving the medical applications of radiation. One of the initial products of this research was the construction of a radon generator, the first in the United States. In 1921, Failla was the first to suggest that radiation doses be expressed as the amount of radiation energy absorbed and made the first dose estimates in radium therapy in terms of microcalories per cc of tissue. There are many ways to categorize wine, the most obvious being by color. Red wines clearly differ from whites. And of course there are differences in vintages, regions, winemaking styles, and oak-aging regimes. One way to separate wines is into one of three broad categories: (a) wines that age, (b) wines that do not, and a third sort of gray area in which a wine may or may not age well based on various situations. Another 5% are in Category B, and 5% in Category C..
