“I took inspiration from the Danish summer,” says bartender Morten Dinitzen, who uses scrumptious summer berries and Heering Cherry Liquour to create a sweet and fresh Copenhagen Elephant Cocktail to celebrate Elephant Parade 2011.
“The Copenhagen Elephant Cocktail gets a slightly spicy – but to my mind delicious – kick from Bols Genever and a dash of Angostura,” adds Morten Dinitzen.

Elephant Parade 2011 is an outdoor art exhibition with 103 beautifully decorated baby elephants taking place in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg from 1 June to 25 August. Following the exhibition the art elephants will be auctioned, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the threatened Asian Elephants.

2007 AN/2 – BODEGAS AN NEGRA

Claes Bech-Poulsen, our photographer, recommends the 2007 AN/2 from Bodegas An Negra on the Spanish island Mallorca – the vineyard is considered one of the best in Spain.
The AN/2 is produced on the local grapes Callet, Mantonegre and Fogoneu with little bit of Syrah. The wine is matured for 12 months in oak casks and has lots of fruits with hints of herbs and red berries.
