Charlotte Mogensen works to create happy and loyal clients with the Scandinavian luxury lifestyle and design brand, Georg Jensen. This spring she shares her insights on design - and guides you to her favourite spot, treat and offer - at Avenue Hotel.

Charlotte Mogensen is Sales Executive for high-end clients at Georg Jensen, the famous Scandinavian luxury lifestyle and design brand. She has an eminent eye for interesting design, and uses Avenue Hotel as her base, when in Copenhagen.
Charlotte Mogensen shares her insights on what makes great design and where to find it in Copenhagen.

Beautiful, Sensuous and Simple Shapes
“I like design, which is beautiful and simple,” says Charlotte Mogensen.
Naturally she loves Georg Jensen’s own products, which she describes as classic and contemporary, emphasizing that Georg Jensen never compromises on quality.
Charlotte Mogensen highlights the exquisite pitcher, designed for Georg Jensen by Danish architect, Henning Koppel, in 1952.
“With its sensuous shape and exaggerated silhouette it is still modern today.”
She adds with a smile: “It will be launched in a smaller version in 2012, so we now have two Henning Koppel pitchers in our range.”

Where to find Great Design in Copenhagen
“I have to say you find some of the most interesting design in Copenhagen at our Georg Jensen store, and remember to visit The Royal Café, which always inspires while you enjoy a coffee or their scrumptious ‘smushies’ (mix of ‘smørrebrød’ and sushi),” says Charlotte Mogensen.
“For more offbeat design by upcoming, local designers, try the tiny shop, Stilleben, in the charming pedestrian area, Strædet, just round the corner from the Georg Jensen shop.”
She adds: “For design buffs Danish Design Centre on H. C. Andersen Boulevard is a must-visit, as it gives you great insight into the history of Danish design.”

Avenue Hotel forms a Unique Base
“Avenue Hotel manages to create a homely and comfortable atmosphere for every single guest,” says Charlotte Mogensen.
She uses Avenue Hotel as her base, whenever she works in Copenhagen, and adds:
“The friendly and personal interest you meet as a guest at Avenue Hotel is unique.”

Charlotte Mogensen’s Spot, Offer and Treat
Charlotte Mogensen has kindly accepted to recommend her favourite spot in Copenhagen, and together with Charlotte Mogensen we have found a special treat in the lounge and a special offer in the Avenue 24/7 Shop for our guests to enjoy.
