CPH DISTORTION invites everybody to celebrate street life and club culture in Copenhagen from 1 to 5 June. For five days in a row CPH DISTORTION parties in five different neighbourhoods. Free block parties and street events from 4 to 10 pm, and Club Clash after 10 pm.
The mastermind behind CPH DISTORTION, Thomas Fleurquin (pictured to the left, taking part in communal street dining), encourages all the cool shops, art galleries and local event makers in Copenhagen to participate in the party festival.
To emphasize that CPH DISTORTION is for the entire city – and its visitors – Kids’ Distortion for the 0-6 year-olds (obviously accompanied by their parents) was introduced in 2010.
New in 2011 is Pensioners’ Distortion for people who were young in the 50s & 60s and still love to party.

"Kammertoner 2011" is a festival of chamber music bringing together some of the best classical musicians in Scandinavia at the atmospheric Frederiksberg Castle. Frederiksberg Castle is a pleasant ten minutes bike-ride from Avenue Hotel.
“For a long time it has been my wish to creat a festival for chamber music with the leading Scandinavian musicians,” says cultural entrepreneur Dorthe Foged. Friday 10 to Monday 13 June her wish is fulfilled as “Kammertoner 2011″ fills the beautiful Frederiksberg Castle with some of the foremost Scandinavian classical musicians.
Among the performing stars are Danes Andreas Brantelid, Katrine Gislinge and Trio con brio. The Danes are joined by, among others, Oslo String Quartet (N), Stenhammar Quartet (S) and Olli Leppäniemi (SF).
