The Fish Bar gets a Bib Gourmand

I always recommend The Fish Bar, when visitors to Copenhagen ask me for a good and happening local restaurant.
At The Fish Bar they have a good selection of fresh oysters, serve a decent fish & chips, and – quite unusual for Copenhagen – the restaurant is still buzzing at 10 pm as they keep the kitchen open till 11 pm. Their staff and decor is like the surrounding Meat Packing District: Professional, trendy and slightly rough at the edges…

Bib Gourmand = Good Value
The people behind the famous Michelin Guide seem to share my ideas about what makes a good value restaurant as they rewarded The Fish Bar with a Bib Gourmand on Tuesday 16 March, 2010.
A Bib Gourmand doesn’t come close to their prestigious gourmet categories of one to three stars but is given for what I want from a restaurant most days … ‘Value for Money’.
Congratulations to The Fish Bar for their Bib Gourmand – and to the Copenhageners for another great restaurant.

High school students interested in becoming medical, dental, or ophthalmic laboratory technicians should take courses in mathematics and science. Courses in metal and wood shop, art, drafting, and computers are recommended. Courses in management and business may help those wishing to operate their own laboratories. Gioacchino Failla, one of the greatest pioneers in the fields of biophysics and radiobiology, began his career at New York's Memorial Hospital in 1915. Within a few years of joining the staff, he had established the first research program devoted to improving the medical applications of radiation. One of the initial products of this research was the construction of a radon generator, the first in the United States. In 1921, Failla was the first to suggest that radiation doses be expressed as the amount of radiation energy absorbed and made the first dose estimates in radium therapy in terms of microcalories per cc of tissue. There are many ways to categorize wine, the most obvious being by color. Red wines clearly differ from whites. And of course there are differences in vintages, regions, winemaking styles, and oak-aging regimes. One way to separate wines is into one of three broad categories: (a) wines that age, (b) wines that do not, and a third sort of gray area in which a wine may or may not age well based on various situations. Another 5% are in Category B, and 5% in Category C..
